Conservation District Newsletter
PACD publishes the quarterly Conservation News newsletters to help get the word out on District programs, upcoming workshops, and other activities. Other topics of interest, including tree care, landscaping tips, and conservation education are also incorporated in the newsletters. Our mailing list has grown to nearly one thousand rural and urban addresses in Atlantic City, Ethete, Fort Washakie, Hudson, Jeffrey City, Lander, Milford, and South Pass City. Wise Water Use Campaign
In response to ongoing drought conditions in Fremont County, the Popo Agie Conservation District developed an annual summer educational program to promote wise water use and raise awareness of water conservation techniques.
PACD campaigns in partnership with KOVE/KDLY radio and the Lander Journal to highlight simple and effective wise water use for the home and landscape. The Wise Water Use campaign also provides rain gauges for visitors to the district office in Lander, xeriscape gardening information, and other indoor and outdoor water saving tips.
